Life on the water is what it is all about. There are quite a number of ways to see the ocean and experience the seven seas. Cruise ships come to mind but if you are not quite comfortable with lots of people and the risk of large groups on both your health and psyche you may want to consider a personally guided cruise. The Adirondack is a thirty six foot trawler that has been outfitted with all the modern amenities that you might normally expect when touring on the water. Captain Jeff Janacek is well schooled and certified as a big sea captain. As a side benefit he can spin a mighty fine yarn. OK it may be a bit exaggerated but there is always a foundation of truth behind the stories. Embellishment is entertaining. The food on the Adirondack is consistently unexpected, yet always in a good way. One day you may be treated to lobster and the next a family famous multi-bean vegetarian dish. Oh did I mention that this is not your big corporation deal but a regular guy who has lots of life experience?I'm not a sales guy, just someone who recently spent ten days on the boat with Jeff and his wife Sally and I can honestly say that your trip will be well worth exploring new adventures and living outside your normal day to day experience. In summary, we enjoyed our travels with Captain Jeff & wife Sally. The scenery was fabulous, the water refreshing, the food & drink interesting & healthy (based on requests), the accommodations comfortable & quaint, the pace flexible to adjust to weather & interests. It was a great way to experience the “cruising lifestyle” without the responsibilities of owning and navigating a boat. We had a lot of fun & relaxation in our 10 day adventure on the Adirondack!Bill & Cyndi Graham, Minnetrista, MN

Capt Jeff was a great host, we love the cruise around Rock Hall and on the Chesapeake Bay. The view from the water is wonderful.

Capt Jeff took a group of us on Adirondack to see the Blue Angels air show and the fireworks extravaganza in Baltimore Harbor. Ringside seats for the fireworks show. Both events were part of the week long bicentennial celebration of the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Great fun, great skipper.

The waters are unpredictable, but the food is always wonderful...the taste and varied views are unbeatable...visiting small towns and hiking on trails combine with opportunities to learn about the culture of boaters who explore the world from the water...a trip opportunity not to be missed by those who enjoy very small group travel adventures.

Captain Jeff has been on all the Great Lakes, up the inside passage, done the Tom Bigbee, taken his trawler to the Bahamas. This captain will give you a safe passage regardless. He is a fount of knowledge and a joy to converse with. On our trip Jeff and first mate, Sally, covered all the bases from excellent meals on board to excursions on land. The 36 foot Monk trawler has private accomodations, including bath, for guests. It is a meticulously maintained craft, quiet, air conditioned and provides excellent top side comfort viewing. We have signed on to two passages with Captain Jeff (Coast Guard certified) and look forward to doing so again.
