The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a great place to take the family. On some of the races you can get into the pit area, which is very cool. But even without that, the grounds are beautiful and you can walk around to get a view of the race from different areas. You aren't stuck to one seat in the grandstand. I live a couple of miles from the track. I love the sound of racecars in the morning!

We have been to this track many times over the years. Mostly at motorcycle races or during the Vintage Motorcycle Days event with its HUGE swap meet.We have raced vintage motocross there several times during these vintage events.Nice traditional grassy track that is good to walk around. We always try to eat at the nearby Amish Der Dutchman buffett (closed on Sun though!)

This is a beautiful race course located north of Columbus, with access to the paddocks and pits even during a big event such as an Indy car race (normally ran in August). As with any tree lined road course, you will by no means have a view of the entire track. Like any sporting event if you want the best view, stay home and watch it on tv. If you want the atmosphere, the sounds, up close pit views, driver contact, race activities, and experience, you will not be disappointed. I normally walk the track, stopping at good viewing locations along the way, watching the driver lines through the turns, and battles with the other cars in the picnic type atmosphere. There are plenty of grassy mounds to view from, or get infield tickets to view from your vehicle. There are always plenty of exotic cars of other viewers to check out, or talk to. There are numerous food vendors to chose from, or bring a grill or cold cuts and fix it yourself. The only downside, is that they are starting to charge too much for food and beverages like at other major venues.

Went to the AMA Superbike double header in July. We rode 2 hours to get there and purchased 2 tickets for the Saturday race. The $80 ticket cost was no problem. But we expected to see a race. It rained off and on and they would only run practice and qualifying sessions when the track was completely dry. We know that Superbikes run rain or shine. So we asked someone why there was no activity in the rain. They stated that the track was just sealed and was too slick when wet to be safe. We waited all day and they finally called the race. A complete waste of time and money due to what appears to be incompetent track maintenance. I e-mailed asking for a refund. They apparently don't answer e-mails. When called, they responded that we could have come back Sunday for the 2nd half of the double header. When we informed them that first, we couldn't go on Sunday which is why we went Saturday, and second nothing on the ticket says that and no announcements were made to that effect all day. They said we should have looked on their facebook page and besides, NASCAR doesn't race in the rain. Well I didn't go to a NASCAR race and Superbikes do race in the rain. So the bottom line is, call and ask questions before you go to an event at Mid Ohio and don't expect to get what you pay for.

This was my first trip to this track. I have been to many race tracks before, and couldn't have asked foe a better experience. Viewing locations from the naturally rolling hills around this track are great. Very fan, and family friendly. Expect a long walk after you park, but well worth it. Don't pass this one up if your an avid race fan!!!!

We just returned from the Mid Ohio Indy car race and had a blast. I have been at tracks around the world (Spa, Nurburgring, Assen, Montreal, Austin, etc, etc) and this facility stands with best of them. Beautiful rolling track with classic turns and valleys. Very fan friendly. An all around great atmosphere. We rented golf carts and now consider this a must. You can almost get around the whole track to check out most of the racing lines, this saves your feet a lot of wear and tear. But others just set up their spots with bbqs, coolers and other essentials and enjoy the great views from all the spectator mounds. We rented a farm house in the nearby town of Ashland as our base (thru Homeaway) and it was an easy commute to the track. Entry to track on the busy Sunday went smooth considering the large crowds as did out exit (although we left very late). I would recommend this venue to both avid fans and casual visitors.

This is one of our all-time favorite road tracks. It's a gem. The setting is gorgeous, the views of the track are spectacular and infield parking affords the opportunity to go to many of the interesting turns of the track. Food and drink is reasonably priced and makes this a place that is very affordable for families. You can bring your own food, grill, and chairs to set up and really have a fabulous time watching your favorite races.

My family and I have been coming here since early '90's. We have met so many friends and have a very fun time. I like to pack our cooler with our cold beverages and food for the weekend. There is always good food and drink to buy at very reasonable prices. Great venue for family to party friends.

I have been coming to Mid-Ohio for at least 25 years with my family and friends, now that I have children of my own we have begun to bring them for race weekends. We mostly enjoy the motorcycle race weekends, but have also attended the Nationwide series race. While I love this track it is large and if you plan to view from different places you will have to do a lot of walking over hills and sometimes rough ground. There is golf cart rental, but it is pricey, we usually bring our scooter to get around. I don't think this is a place for very small children as they will get board or hot easily walking a lot, but for my kids (6 and 9) it was fine. If you love road course racing this is a great place to spend a weekend and see a lot of great racing with clean facilities and good food.

I have had a season pass to Mid Ohio for two seasons. It is important to note a few things that applies to all of their races:1) Kids under 12 are always free with an adult2) Parking is always free3) You can bring in food and drinks (even alcoholic) In today's sports world, where else can you find that kind of value? My kids love going, even if they do not watch the actual races. Just being around the haulers and garages is a real experience. If you have kids, try to get to the track early to get a shady seat in the Esses. They book up fast, especially for IndyCar and NASCAR. Also, with the big series, younger kids might need ear protection. The track is loud.Pack a cooler, load up the folding chairs and have a great family time at Mid Ohio.

I was there to participate in a vintage race event. It's one of my favorite courses in the USA. Staff was friendly, fans were numerous and happy. Port-a-sans were clean enough.

My husband and I have been coming here for the last 20 years. Never missed an Indy car race. This is such a great place to watch the many types of races here. You can pack a cooler and have a picnic while enjoying the sounds and smells of the cars or motorcycles. It's also perfect to take the family.

My daughter and I attended the IndyCar race here. The track is set in a very interesting place. We stayed at a motel about 45 minutes away because we booked late enough we had trouble finding a room. Those who worked the race were very helpful and answered a lot of questions for us. We were always able to find someone to get some information. Parking seemed a bit illogical to me at first, but it made sense eventually. I would definitely go back.

We race here before with Team Nixon Motor sport SCCA events on 2006 our Drive was my husband "Mark". Let me tell you - this track gets your heart pumping! A pristine surface, some technically amazing turns and a great time over all. If you are a big fan definitely you'll enjoy this race track! I think it is a beautiful course and has many different great locations to watch the races that are easy to walk to, just bring a chair or blanket and chill out!. They also offer a driving courses as well such as open wheels races (formula) and motorcycles courses. A must visit for any automotive enthusiast!
