Hopwood Winery is a nice place to sit, try some great wines and on certain nights listen to great local music. The place is small, but they have seating around the tasting bar where they have you sample their wines for free. If you like one you can buy a bottle and enjoy it while you enjoy some complimentary cheese and crackers or whatever other little appetizers they decide to make (Check their website for what nights they have music and appetizers). They also have some couches and coffee table where if you come with some friends you can sit, enjoy some wine and even play a board game from their selection, and the only thing you pay for is your wine. A great place to relax, enjoy some conversation and some great local wines. Their wines are under $20 a bottle. They are known for their wine shakes, and we have seen them make many, but have not tried one yet. Maybe on our next visit.

And the wine is quite good too. We love this place! You'll feel welcomed and like a good friend at Hopwood. We love to hang out here. You can taste wine, enjoy live music and free snacks on weekends. Keep to yourself or meet new people. Bottles are reasonably priced, so buy one and enjoy a great neighborhood spot.

Friendly, great place to stop in for a quick wine tasting or stay awhile and chat. Fun to sit at the bar and meet new people or the owner. Or if prefer some more privacy, plenty of other cozy seating around. Live music on weekends. Have to try the wine shake! Awesome!

We've been to Hopwood a few times. They are a new winery and have opened a tasting room in the village of Zionsville. On Friday evenings, they have snacks and you can buy a bottle of wine and listen to a local talent play music. Nice for every once in a while.

The owner/wine-maker is your host, and you can feel the passion he has for the wines he makes. Delicious variety. Quaint and friendly atmosphere. Makes a terrific wineshake. That's right, a milkshake with wine, chocolate and some of his secret ingredients...DELICIOUS! Fridays and Saturday evenings, some live musicians, though you can still carry a conversation on. And Ron (the winemaker) and his wife provide food and cheese on these evenings!A great place to relax and taste some samples, then have a very affordable glass or bottle of wine!

Really fun. My husband and I stumbled on to this place. Live music was awesome. The owner was present and interacted with all the guests. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I visited Hopwood Cellars in our home town. We didn't care for any of the eight or so wines we tasted there. However, the tasting room was clean and spacious, and the woman who poured for us was very pleasant. It is hard to pin down what we didn't like about their wines to any one or two factors. Generally, we prefer dry to semi-dry/semi-sweet wines, and we tasted Hopwood wines listed in those ranges, but we just didn't care for any of them. That happens occasionally. That's the beauty of their being so many wineries. There is something for every taste, somewhere. Hopwood does have some wines that are uncommon in Indiana. I wouldn't discourage a person from tasting at Hopwood Cellars if they happen to be in town, but it is not worth making a special trip.

This is one of the new winery 'kids on the block". Located just off the cobblestone road in Zionsville, this is a generously sized , attractive space but also serves up some very good wines! Tastings were free when we visited although that may have changed. The married couple who own and operate it are both knowledgeable and hospitable. On Friday evenings, they feature live music along with refreshments . Saturdays is Crock-pot day where they serve up a complimentary dish they've just prepared in the crock-pot. Be sure and try the Wine Shake , the owners creation . It is fabulous!!!!!!!! Great place to mingle after work! Wines are reasonably priced .

Rob was very nice and knows his wine. Great atmosphere. Good wine selection for any palate.Tasting room very clean and spacious.
